EV: titanium, platinum and nitrobenzene power¶
Phase id: p9 · Era: EV
Titanium first (EV hull), refinery gases and radon, nichrome coils, the platinum group, the EV component set and nitrobenzene gas turbines. Typical pace (community reports, not independent samples): players report about 12 days in EV (median of 4 runs, range 1 to 18).
Titanium (molten ore line)¶
- Module key:
plan:titanium· step 49 - Chain: Titanium: molten ilmenite → rutile → TiCl4 → Kanthal EBF → Vacuum Freezer; also Molten Ore Mixture, Raw Ore Slurry & mineral mixtures
- Uses:
gtceu:chlorine_bucket,gtceu:kanthal_coil_block - Makes:
gtceu:titanium_ingot,gtceu:molten_ore_mixture_bucket - Stock:
gtceu:titanium_ingotin 64 - Power: EBF 480 EU/t at 2141 K (Kanthal coils, HV hatch); EV mixer 1920 EU/t
- Watch out:
- Molten ore mixture is the bottleneck: EV mixer, 16 crushed ores + 32 stone dust + 32 B lava = 6 B in 40 s.
- Titanium needs 2141 K: cupronickel fails, Kanthal coils and an HV hatch work.
- Per ingot: 1 rutile, 2 carbon, 4 B chlorine and 2 magnesium; magnesium and chlorine come back from the MgCl2 electrolysis.
- A full set of EV single machines eats dozens of ingots.
- Titanium first: the EV hull is 8 titanium plates + 2 aluminium cables + 288 mB polyethylene. Before the molten ore line runs (Distillation Tower and mixer are EV), the quest shop sells 16 titanium for 16 coins, or use titanium dust from the ruby slurry.
- Molten ore voltages: Void Extractor LV, slurry centrifuge MV, raw ore autoclave HV (500 mB + stone dust, 160 ticks), recycling mixer and distillation tower EV (1 920 EU/t), looping mixer IV.
Refinery gases, liquid air, radon, epoxy¶
- Module key:
plan:evfluids· step 50 - Chain: Oil refinery; also Liquid air distillation, Radon, Epoxy
- Uses:
gtceu:oil_heavy_bucket,gtceu:hydrogen_bucket - Makes:
gtceu:ethylene_bucket,gtceu:propene_bucket,gtceu:helium_bucket,gtceu:radon_bucket,gtceu:epoxy_bucket - Watch out:
- Lock each refinery output hatch to its fluid.
- Nether air: 3 netherrack dust + 32 B air (HV mixer); ender air: 3 end stone dust + 32 B nether air.
- LCR circuit 24 skips most epoxy steps.
- Radon feeds quantum eyes and stars and the EV circuit assembler; epoxy is the LuV board plastic.
- Distillation Tower = HV hull + 4 EV circuits; Vacuum Freezer = 3 EV circuits: this line waits for the first EV circuits (cleanroom, previous phase).
- Radon in EV only by the LCR plutonium route: 8 plutonium-239 ingots (returned) + 1 uranium-238 dust + 10 B air → 1 B radon, 480 EU/t, 4 000 ticks. The liquid ender air route (vacuum freezer + tower) is IV (7 680 EU/t). The EV emitter and sensor need it (quantum eye = ender eye + 250 mB radon), so plan it before the EV components.
Nichrome and the 3600 K coil¶
- Module key:
plan:nichrome· step 51 - Chain: Nichrome: MV Mixer, EV EBF at 2700 K, Vacuum Freezer, wire and coil block
- Uses:
gtceu:chromium_dust,gtceu:stainless_steel_ingot,gtceu:aluminium_ingot - Makes:
gtceu:nichrome_ingot,gtceu:nichrome_coil_block - Power: EV EBF 1920 EU/t at 2700 K; mixer 120 EU/t
- Watch out:
- Mixer circuit 2: 4 nickel + 1 chromium dust = 5 nichrome dust. Circuit 1 on the same mixer is Kanthal: keep a second mixer.
- Hot nichrome needs the Vacuum Freezer (480 EU/t).
- 16 coils = 128 nichrome ingots (102 nickel + 26 chromium dust), 32 stainless ingots, 64 borosilicate foil, 16 aluminium ingots.
- Unverified the exact Vacuum Freezer time (mass based, read EMI).
Platinum group line¶
- Module key:
plan:platinum· step 52 - Chain: Platinum group line: sludge → aqua regia centrifuge → platinum, palladium, rhodium, ruthenium, iridium, osmium
- Uses:
gtceu:hydrochloric_acid_bucket - Makes:
gtceu:platinum_dust,gtceu:palladium_dust,gtceu:rhodium_dust,gtceu:ruthenium_dust,gtceu:iridium_dust,gtceu:osmium_dust - Power: LV reactor, mixer 30 EU/t
- Watch out:
- Sludge: LV chemical reactor, 1 purified ore + 100 mB nitric acid (50 ticks).
- Aqua regia: LV mixer, 1 B nitric + 2 B hydrochloric acid = 3 B; the centrifuge takes 1200 mB per 6 sludge.
- Rhodium is the rare input of the nether star loop.
- Moved to EV: PGS separation is an HV centrifuge (480 EU/t), platinum and palladium need only MV, rhodium and ruthenium an EV chemical reactor (1 920 EU/t). Iridium and osmium need an IV Large Chemical Reactor (7 680 EU/t): run that last step in IV.
- Platinum is needed already in EV: EV sensor and emitter (platinum rods), EV transformers and the 4A/16A EV hatches (platinum cable), SMD diodes (fine platinum wire); ruthenium feeds the Assembler Matrix and the RTM coils.
EV components and hull¶
- Module key:
plan:evcomp· step 53 - Chain: EV components: titanium parts, motor, piston, robot arm, pump, conveyor, hull
- Uses:
gtceu:titanium_ingot,gtceu:aluminium_ingot,gtceu:polyethylene_bucket,gtceu:radon_bucket,gtceu:platinum_dust,gtceu:micro_processor_computer - Makes:
gtceu:ev_electric_motor,gtceu:ev_electric_piston,gtceu:ev_electric_pump,gtceu:ev_conveyor_module,gtceu:ev_robot_arm,gtceu:ev_machine_hull - Stock:
gtceu:ev_machine_hullin 8 - Power: LV assembler 30 EU/t for the motor
- Watch out:
- Titanium count: motor 1 ingot, piston 6, robot arm 9, pump 4, conveyor 2, hull 8 plates.
- EV hull: 8 titanium plates -> casing (assembler, circuit 8), then casing + 2 aluminium cables + 288 mB polyethylene.
- EV cables take a PVC foil on top of the insulation (Unverified: the press recipe).
- The EV robot arm needs an EV circuit (Microprocessor Supercomputer), made in the MV Circuit Assembler inside the cleanroom (module hvcirc).
EV power: nitrobenzene gas turbines¶
- Module key:
plan:evpower· step 54 - Chain: EV power: nitrobenzene in Large Gas Turbines (1 280 EU per mB); also EV power
- Uses:
gtceu:benzene_bucket,gtceu:sulfuric_acid_bucket,gtceu:distilled_water_bucket,gtceu:ev_machine_hull,gtceu:micro_processor_computer,gtceu:stainless_steel_ingot - Makes:
gtceu:nitrobenzene_bucket,gtceu:gas_large_turbine - Stock:
gtceu:nitrobenzene_bucketin drum - Power: chemical reactor 480 EU/t; the turbine gets 1 280 EU per mB
- Watch out:
- Nitrobenzene is a GAS turbine fuel (1 280 EU/mB, 3.6x benzene); the Large Combustion Engine cannot burn it and needs an IV circuit anyway.
- One HV chemical reactor = 1 B/s = 25 600 EU/t of fuel: 5 B benzene + 2 B nitration mixture + 2 B distilled water → 8 B in 8 s.
- Large Gas Turbine = EV hull + 2 EV circuits + 4 stainless gears + 2 stainless large fluid pipes; one rotor holder per turbine, never shared.
- Unverified the nitric acid route in this pack and the turbine base output (read its tooltip).
